Continuing our updates on CMCI tutors and their international speaking appearances: Dr Bridget Conor has been in St Petersburg, Russia, as an invited speaker for the two-day workshop ‘Creative Labour Revisited’.
This event was held at the Historical Museum of Experimental Sound (http://soundmuseumspb.ru/en/) in the city which sits alongside the aptly titled Museum of Non-Conformist Art. It was hosted and funded by the National Research University Higher School of Economics and Bielefeld University.
Bridget (pictured in action at the event) spoke about her recent book Gender and Creative Labour and her research on transnational film labour. A number of other scholars and practitioners shared their research and experiences in the cultural industries in Russia, Finland and beyond.
