Anna Reading: Just the Ticket

The creative side of Anna Reading, our Head of Department and Professor of Cultural and Creative Industries, is big in the news at the moment. The Phenomenal People project, which Anna is involved with along with other CMCI colleagues, is picked out in in the Guardian’s Top Tickets feature this week: http://www.theguardian.com/stage/theatreblog/2015/may/11/home-manchester-bristol-mayfest-imaginate-brighton-norwich-festival-theatre-top-tickets)

Meanwhile, Louise Blackwell is full of praise the Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/louise-blackwell/shaking-things-up-lemonad_b_7241338.html

The link to the script of Anna’s small performance piece “To My Dearest Daughter” can be found at: http://www.phenomenalpeople.org.uk/debate/a-letter-to-my-daughter-by-anna/ including a picture of a recent installation by Aphra Harvey-Reading (aged 8). Titled: “Aphra’s Desk”, it includes an office space combined with a handy crèche.

The project draws on Anna’s academic research on memory, gender and digital technologies.

Coming up: Visit the Phenomenal People’s indoor garden in Colchester on 14th & 15th May.
