“Creative and Digital Industries: Encouraging Innovation, Achieving Economic Growth”

Professor Andy Pratt chaired a day seminar organised by ‘Inside Government” on the “Creative and Digital Industries: Encouraging Innovation, Achieving Economic Growth” on 8th February 2012. Inside Government is an independent organisation, which works closely with and for Government in order to provide practitioners with forums in which to debate current thinking and information.

Andy was joined by the following experts : Professor Johanna Gibson, Director, The Intellectual Property Institute, Queen Mary College; Ian Livingstone OBE, Co-Author, Nesta’s Next Gen. Report & Chair, Skillset’s Computer Games Skills Council; Richard Russell, National Director of Strategic Partnerships, Arts Council England; Dr. Richard Wilson, CEO,The Independent Game Developers’ Association; Dr. Jeremy Silver, Creative Industries – Lead Specialist, Technology Strategy Board; Karen Davies, Head of Learning Resources, The Science Museum; The Borough of Lewisham -Economic Regeneration through Creative Industries Brigid Howarth and Andrew Erskine; Martin Melarkey, Senior Cultural Programmer for Communities & Education, 2013, Derry-Londonderry European City of Culture.
