Congratulations to CMCI PhD student Henrik Lindén, who has received a stipend from the prestigious Helge Ax:son Johnson Foundation in Sweden.
Henrik is the former Librarian of the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, and has also worked at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York and the Swedish Institute for Children’s Books in Stockholm. He has an MA in Library & Information Science from Uppsala University and a BA in Art History from Stockholm University.
His Doctoral research at King’s explores the British art critic as mediator. By focusing on newspapers and magazines – and mainly reviews of group exhibitions in the UK – he is examining how contemporary African art is communicated to the wider public through art criticism. His supervisor is Dr Richard Howells.
